The painting was originally done with watercolours, using a dry painting style on an A5 sized watercolour paper (300 gsm). A painting like this will take me 2-4 hours to complete (not counting drying time in between layers). The original is then scanned twice, edited digitally and sent to get printed at a local printing shop in my home town in Finland.
After receiving the prints, I sign them by hand and package them in cellophane bags which I later package further when an order is placed. All the steps are monitored by a jury of three cats and a dog, to ensure quality.
